Perillon releases Workspace Performance Management™ to help companies manage Environmental Performance and Sustainability; Announces Workspace Carbon Footprint™.

LITTLETON, MA, February 8, 2008 – Perillon Software announced today that it has released Workspace Performance Management™, a sustainability business intelligence dashboard. Workspace Performance Management is a new view into the environmental, health and safety (EH&S) data managed in Perillon's innovative Perillon Workspace™ suite. With it, companies can collect, analyze and manage environmental, health and safety compliance and performance, as well as Sustainability initiatives. Perillon also announced Workspace Carbon Footprint, which will help companies collect, calculate and manage greenhouse gas, energy and environmental impact data.

Workspace Performance Management transforms the data from Workspace suite and other data sources into information that gives operations, EH&S staff and executives insight into performance on key environmental, health and safety performance metrics and trends. Eight business focuses are presented: tasks and actions, incidents, inspections, emissions, compliance, greenhouse gas, environmental footprint, and sustainability metrics. Source data is gathered in Workspace, an enterprise environmental, health and safety solution, or can be brought in through Perillon's powerful integration platform, Workspace Integration™.

Perillon's unique approach helps companies “operationalize sustainability” by linking metrics and trend data back to the day-to-day tasks and activities required to manage them. For example, companies can analyze their incident rate by time period, location, severity, incident type and more. With this, they can identify problem areas and quickly assess root cause. They can then use Workspace to perform corrective action tasks and manage results with audits and inspections.

Perillon has simplified business intelligence by making it easy for the casual user to analyze their EHS data instantly. Historically, companies had to spend months or years building complex spreadsheets, data marts or data cubes to access and use environmental information. Workspace Performance Management uses “in-memory analysis”, making this unnecessary and allowing for almost unlimited manipulation of data. With “associative logic”, users can click directly into charts and graphs to filter data. These filters then affect all other associated charts and graphs. This powerful feature dramatically reduces time spent analyzing data.

The system will then apply calculations, normalization and rollup of data. Once data is approved, it will be available for output – using standard reporting protocols, and through Workspace Performance Management. Here, users will be able to view near real-time view of greenhouse gas, energy consumption and environmental footprint against goals. This product will provide a complete end-to-end solution for collecting and reporting on corporate GHG, energy usage and sources and environmental impact from waste, water and air and more. It will help companies gain a competitive advantage by providing transparency to key stakeholders.
